1. Shhh. Adding UNR Holdings (UNHR) to Watch List.
Shhh. Don't tell two friends. Really.
We found something we like so much, we are going to try to sign them as a client.
It goes up (in our opinion) with or without our help. Even though we have thousands of subscribers, this is only going out (for now) to the 117 people who have also signed up to our Special Situations sub site. But to be honest, there isn't even enough stock for those 117 investors (or even one big one). There just isn't. So first come, first serve and there's no one handing out huge servings. You'd be lucky to get 10,000 shares.
It's orphaned, nobody knows about it -- and by the looks - nobody cares. But they will. They got cash, they got earnings, they got management and one of its largest shareholders is the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Only problem, is it's a light trader. And our guess is most likely it's going to stay that way, until the stock gets up to $8 or $9 (not a projection, just a description of events "if" it does) at which point we'd imagine the company would entertain speaking to an investment banker -- after which "real" price appreciation, an expanded shareholder base and volume could appear.
Last we saw, 24 million shares outstanding and 2.5 million in the float. Cash per share...$2.94. Hmm
( http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=UNRH.OB+Key+Statistics )
It reminds us a lot of Vertex Energy (VTNR) which traded from $0.40 (where we added it to Watch List) to $4.00 and volume didn't show up until after it went up seven fold ($2.80), after which the shares, which took so much effort to acquire -- were suddenly easy to sell. It's a beautiful thing -- for the patient. Read it and weep if you didn't participate, read it and dance a jig if you did. That was 2011's story. This may be 2012's.
VERTEX write-up: http://iaspecialsituationresearch.ning.com/profiles/blogs/ia-adding...
So who made money in Vertex ? Only those who patiently sat on the bid, hoping for someone to come around and sell, for some extraneous reason. And maybe a little nibbling at the ask -- if someone showed "size."
So we're studying this at the same time you are.
Start here -- yeah as in Oh my, are these numbers for real ? Yes, you heard it hear first !
We command you to read this 10K before deciding:

Disclaimer: Important Distinction #1. First and foremost the Watch List is
just that. A watch list. It is not a buy list. Meaning that there will be
no buys or sales issued by the Internet Stock Review. If this was a buy
list, you can rest assured that we would crank up our Public Relations arm
into high gear, full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes to make everyone
know just how brilliant we were when we issued the list. Interviews on
CNBC, articles in Barron's and accolades in the Wall Street Journal--the
only thing we love more than money is praise and fame--but it just isn't
going to happen. What the Internet Stock Review is...is a "news
aggregation service". With the advent of the Internet, everyone knows what
that term means. What it means to us is the following: We will follow the
progress of as many Internet related publicly traded stocks as humanly
possible (The large, the small and the minuscule) and advise you of when
they have reported news. As a subscriber to the Internet Stock Review,
this means you will be able to broadly follow the entire industry right
from a single e-mail. We will report who released news and point (with
hyper links) to where the news can be found. We try to use Yahoo! Finance
as extensively as possible so we don't send you all over cyberspace. We
love Yahoo, you will too. Any decisions as to buy or sell however, are
strictly up to you. Which leads to important distinction #2. How do we get
paid? The Internet Stock Review is owned by a Public Relations firm
(Institutional Analyst Inc.) that specializes in getting (or creating)
coverage for publicly traded companies. As such, is important to note that
anytime we say anything about a company, it is because the company is a
client of our parent company, or because we would like them to be a client
of our parent company. In a nutshell, you can throw out any thoughts of us
being even a little bit impartial. It just ain't gonna happen. We love
everyone. Final note is we that have over 20,000 subscribers so please
excuse our dust. Institutional Analyst Inc. is an independent research and
investor-relations consulting firm that publishes investment-research
reports such as The Internet Stock Review on independently selected
